and a bit technical but this is necessary to protect us both and ensure we have a smooth, successful transaction.

Making a Purchase from this Site

I really hope you are excited about purchasing original work from me at Cate Scott Art. I undertake, and you agree to, the following in relation to any purchase.

Making a Payment

Payment can be made either with your own PayPal account or by using your debit or credit card. If you already have a PayPal account, please click through using the first button. Don’t have a PayPal account? No problem, click of the second button to pay by card. Alternatively, you can create a PayPal account via the first button.

Your Purchase

  • Original art, drawings and art gifts available on this website through the checkout process are purchased at the advertised price
  • The advertised price includes postage and packing within the UK only
  • I will be happy to ship work to you worldwide. As shipping rates vary considerably to non-UK countries, please contact me to discuss costs and timelines for shipping (info@catescottart.co.uk). Please also be aware that import duties and taxes could also be incurred
  • All work is purchased as described and measured, please ask as many questions as needed before making any purchase. Please get in touch at info@catescottart.co.uk
  • Most original artwork and drawings are presented with a black mount, often with a white inner core. Should you require a different coloured mount, or core, or no mount at all, please contact me at info@catescottart.co.uk before purchasing
  • Prints are generally sent unmounted, please ask me for prices etc. if you would prefer a mount as I can advise as to cost and timeline
  • The measurements given may not be absolute, I have done my best. I advise against purchasing any mounts, frames or other display methods or materials until you have received the item and have fully checked the measurements for yourself, a mm or two will make a difference. Work cannot be returned on the basis of an incorrect assumption regarding size by you the buyer
  • I make every effort to reproduce work images to the highest standard I can. If you are unsure about colour or other elements of the work, please request additional photographs. In addition, you will be very welcome to view the work in person at my studio at a mutually agreed date and time. I will be very happy to reserve any piece of work for you until a visit can be arranged
  • Work will be well packaged and protected from damage; wherever possible I try to use recycled materials
  • I will despatch your purchase(s) and keep you advised as follows:
    • For original work, I aim to despatch your purchase with 3 business days, any delay will be advised. Cards and other small pieces that I have in stock will also be despatched within 3 business days. Progress, and any delay’s will be advised immediately
    • For giclee prints, which are made to order, delivery may take up to 14 days or longer depending on manufacturing schedules. All timelines will be advised as soon as possible after purchase
    • For bespoke piece (such as cushions) delivery may take up to 28 days depending on manufacturing schedules. All timeline will be advised as soon as possible after purchase

Delivery of Purchases

  • I will send your purchase from the UK by 48hr tracked, second class mail that will require a signature on delivery. I will advise a likely delivery date. It is the buyers responsibility to accept the work on delivery as packages will not be left unattended and can only be delivered, and signed for, by the buyer in person. If you would like to discuss any alternative arrangement, please contact me (info@catescottart.co.uk) before making your purchase
  • All work will be insured for shipping
  • If you change your mind about your purchase, I understand, but I do ask that you let me know within 7 days of receipt of the work. Please return the work as described below. Please ask me if you are unsure what’s involved

Returning Purchases

  • If you have any queries regarding returning any item, please contact me at info@catescottart.co.uk
  • Commission pieces are not generally eligible for return unless damaged in transit and evidence provided to this effect
  • If you wish to return your purchase for any reason other than damage you are fully responsible for all return costs. I would ask you to advise me of your intention to return your purchase within 7 days of delivery
  • Returned goods must be sent using a tracked and signed-for service only. I must ask you to only return the item carefully repacked in all the packing in which it arrived. The returned work must be in the pristine condition in which it was originally sent. Work that is returned damaged, or in different packing, will not be refunded
  • For your own protection I advise that you insure the work for return shipping

Damaged Goods

  • If you have any queries regarding returning any item, please contact me at info@catescottart.co.uk
  • I will replace or refund damaged goods on the condition that goods are checked within 24hrs of delivery and damaged advised to me by email (info@catescottart.co.uk) within that timeframe
  • If the package is damaged in transit, I suggest taking photographs of the packaging as goods are unpacked
  • If the work itself is damaged, please also take photographs and contact me with 24 hours of receipt
  • On receipt of your notice of damage to your purchase, I will be in touch as soon as possible with full details as to next steps
  • For original pieces which are by their nature unique a refund will be offered. For prints or art gifts I will offer you a refund or a replacement, whichever you prefer
  • As the buyer you must keep the damaged goods and/or damaged packaging until I have sent you instructions as to next steps. Failure to do so could result in an invalid claim against my returns procedure
